NOTICE ON SAME SEX MARRIAGE LICENES

The Laclede County Recorder's office is not free to issue marriage licenses to parties of the same sex until we are directed to do so by the Missouri Supreme Court.

ABSENT APPLICATIONS ARE NOW BEING ACCEPTED

FOR PERSONS IN MILITARY ACTIVE DUTY, INCARCERATED, OR WITH DISABILITIES.

ABSENT APPLICATIONS ARE AVALABLE UPON REQUEST

MISSOURI NO LONGER REQUIRES A 3 DAY WAITING PERIOD TO RECEIVE YOUR MARRIAGE LICENSE

YOU MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE TO MARRY WITHOUT CONSENT

16 OR 17 - A PARENT OR GUARDIAN MUST GIVE CONSENT

15 YEARS OLD - YOU MUST HAVE BOTH PARENTS GIVE CONSENT


ONCE YOU RECEIVE YOUR MARRIAGE LICENSE, YOU MUST BE MARRIED WITHIN 30 DAYS ANYWHERE IN THE STATE OF MISSOURI, OR THE LICENSE BECOMES NULL AND VOID.

FEE IS $51.00 Cash Only

ALL RELEVANT PERSONS (BRIDE, GROOM, AND GUARDIANS) MUST BE PRESENT TO APPLY.

YOU WILL NEED A STATE ISSUED PICTURE ID OR US PASSPORT.

YOU WILL NEED TO BE ABLE TO TELL US YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER.

IF YOU HAVE BEEN MARRIED BEFORE, WE WILL NEED THE DATE OF YOUR DIVORCE OR THE DATE YOU WERE WIDOWED.
